Derek Hoffman, D.M.D., M.S. is a Florida native who was born and raised in Ocala. Dr. Hoffman graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2002. He attended dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, South Carolina. After dental school, Dr. Hoffman completed a 35-month residency in orthodontics at the University of Florida. At UF, Dr. Hoffman was trained in the latest orthodontic technologies, including Propel, Invisalign, 3D scanning and imaging technologies, temporary anchorage devices (TADs) and passive self-ligation. Dr. Hoffman is a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontics, Florida Dental Association, Northeast District Dental Association and Clay County Dental Association.

Dr. Hoffman and his wife, Susan, have been married for 11 years and have three children: Ellie, Miles and Charlie. They are excited about establishing roots and becoming actively involved in the Orange Park community. Church and faith is also central to Dr. Hoffman, and his family. They are members of Grace Anglican Church. When not practicing orthodontics or furthering his education, Dr. Hoffman enjoys anything that allows for quality family time, whether its spending time at the pool, cooking pancakes, having movie night, or the occasional trip to Disney World. He also enjoys the beach, surfing, golfing and good food (especially BBQ). Dr. Hoffman is excited to be working in an office committed to excellence in orthodontics and providing a fun, relaxed and caring environment for all patients.
